While numerous other companies are selling 1 throttle body marketed under different names, only BBK has a unique design. Those companies are pushing the notion that the brass gears in their throttle bodies are the best for smooth operation. On the contrary, brass geared electronically controlled throttle bodies can actually wear out the expensive Ford electric motor prematurely. Some of these companies even mention that their units require a tune to function properly, which is an immediate red flag. A properly designed and set-up throttle body should only need a minor TPS adjustment at best to make it work 100%. In addition, these companies do not have any tuning suggestions when you buy their unit. Talk about being left out in the cold...

As a result, we have gathered the extensive knowledge on the function of these sophisticated parts that it takes to produce the best possible product. Next, BBK invested tens of thousands of dollars in tooling costs to accurately replicate the injection molded gears that Ford uses in the stock OEM throttle body. Why? Because Ford designs their parts to last as long as possible and to withstand wear. The last thing Ford would ever want to do is produce hundreds of thousands of throttle bodies with inferior materials that may not be durable or stand up to the abuse that truly enthusiastic drivers can dish out. This is one case where BBK followed Ford's lead to make sure our customers enjoy the same longevity and abuse resistance as they would expect from a stock Ford throttle body…. Of course, being BBK, we made sure our unit makes a bunch more H.P. & Tq. over the stock piece. The best thing is that there is no tuning required to make the BBK unit work properly.

All throttle bodies are direct replacements and include detailed installation instructions.

05+ Ford vehicles have a re-useable O-ring in the intake manifold that eliminates the need for an additional gasket.
