Volant modifies the air intake duct and filter box by reducing intake restrictions, rerouting and increasing the diameter of the new air duct without removing any OEM sensors from the vehicle. All Volant intakes systems are molded with a high-grade X-Link polyethylene material to insulate the air box from conducting as much heat as would metal. These kits are designed to deliver a dramatically increased volume of air. Volant air intake systems increase performance up to 18 horsepower and 40 pounds of torque! Some customers increased their gas mileage by 1 to 2 miles per gallon.
Includes Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box! Volant's Cool-Air kits, with their Hi-Flow Velocity Air Boxes are designed to pull cold air from outside the engine compartment to shield the new high performance reusable cotton gauze filter from the engines heat. Leaving an exposed filter in the engine compartment draws the heat from the engine, meaning the hotter it gets the less oxygen there is, it makes your engine work that much harder to breath. Usually, much larger than stock, the boxes are designed to deliver a dramatically increased volume of air.

2003, 2004 Mustang Cobra 12” cold air induction kits for high boost applications.
This JLT kit is designed for the cars running 20 plus psi of boost to help bring in a much cooler air charge. Most cold air inductions can not supply enough air to a 20+ psi motor, this monster can. This JLT can support 800+RWHP and is currently on 9 sec cars! The JLT 12” CAI uses large unrestrictive 4” plastic tubing and a huge 12” S&B Powerstack filter. It comes complete with all necessary parts and hardware to make a clean install. It will also come with a S&B breather filter and a PCV hook up for you to choose from. As with all JLT kits it is offered in standard gloss black and in exact body color as an upgrade.
Prices are $249 in black and $274 in color for a complete kit. Complete kit includes: All rubber elbows and couplers, JLT pipe, MAF adaptor, apron plate, S&B breather and PCV hook up kit and S&B lifetime air filter.
Note: Tuning is required with this kit!

JLT has expanded their Cold Air Induction line to include the 94 & 95 5.0 and 5.8 N/A Mustangs. This is a more difficult kit due to the throttle body and alternator location, but we did the best we could and the results were great on the dyno.
The Cold Air Induction system offers a nice clean look and cooler air to the engine. The CAI relocates the MAF and filter to the fenderwell for a better idle and cooler charge of air. With a large 4” plastic pipe reducing into a 75mm pipe, just before the throttle body you will be getting a larger volume of much cooler air.
Dyno tests showed great gains of 10-20 RWHP and 10-15 RWTQ across the entire RPM range.
